Metalcore Titans Fates Messenger Unleash Second Single and Music Video – Doomloop
Metalcore titans Fates Messenger unleash second single and music video ‘Doomloop’, out today via Greyline Records! The track is taken from their forthcoming EP ‘Eternal War’, out 22nd August.
Explains Fates Messenger:
‘Doomloop’ is a sonic gut punch dripping in groove, it zeroes in on the way governments and corporations continue to fuel global conflict, not to resolve it, but to extract wealth from suffering. The track is both personal and political, capturing a sense of exhausted fury at watching history continue to repeat itself, like the horrific events we’re seeing across the globe.

Fates Messenger will unleash their highly anticipated EP ‘Eternal War’ on August 22nd via Greyline Records, a newly formed independent label spearheaded by frontman Tony Maddocks. A brutal six-track reckoning forged from decades of experience in the UK’s underground metal and hardcore scenes, Eternal War sets a new standard for contemporary metalcore – groove-laden, unrelenting, and conceptually harrowing.
Drawing from the ashes of the bands Above All, Romeo Must Die, and Stampin Ground, Fates Messenger emerged in late 2023 with the ferocity of veterans and the hunger of a new breed. Their latest offering is a conceptually rich and musically punishing exploration of humanity’s spiral into chaos: a damning meditation on religious tyranny, cyclical violence, and the relentless hunger for greed and power. Eternal War is not just music—it’s a mirror to our modern descent, charting the battle between good and evil in a world teetering on the edge.
Recorded by Fates Messenger, mixed by Stu McKay at Studio 6 (Desolated, Malevolence, Ingested) and mastered by Scott Atkinson at Grindstone (cradle of the filth, Sylosis etc), the EP showcases Fates Messenger at their most uncompromising. Tracks like ‘Hellstorm’, ‘Doomloop’, and ‘Master Killer’ (written by Merauder) surge with crushing riffs and venomous precision, while ‘Eternal War’ features a searing guest appearance from Tim Williams (Vision of Disorder/Bloodsimple), and closing track ‘Bonechapel’ brings in Al Llewellyn for a final gut-punch of collaborative fury.
Following the success of their single ‘They Walk Among Us’—accompanied by a cinematic video from acclaimed director Shaun Hodson (Loki Films)—the band made a thunderous live impact supporting UK avant-garde legends Earthtone9 at a packed Black Heart in London. The performance proved Fates Messenger aren’t just survivors of the scene—they’re its future.
Speaking about the release, Maddocks states:
Eternal War is a culmination of everything we are—hard-earned experience, raw anger, and a refusal to be passive in a world that’s spiraling into darkness. We didn’t form this band to coast on legacy. This is about what’s next.
With Eternal War, Fates Messenger isn’t just pushing the boundaries of metalcore—they’re tearing them down. This is the sound of a band with a vision, a message, and a war to wage.
