Horror Short Review: Intruders (2017)
While anthologies are nothing new in horror, it is rare to see a horror short anthology. One that features three linked stories and all coming in at under ten minutes. This is Intruders and it is made up of the stories 5:45, Jacov, and Inspector. Each tells a story about a malevolent spirit making life hell for a series of characters.

The first, 5:45 surrounds a young boy living in deplorable conditions alongside his (seemingly) dead mother. Jacov focuses on a young man living in a high-rise apartment block using a telescope to spy on his neighbours. Whereas Inspector sees a man arrive at the home of the boy from 5:45 some time after the events that took place in that one.

Each short segment is excellent, doing a great job of building tension and dread, and while the payoff is traditional, it still delivers plenty of frights. To be honest, it’s a short that could have done with being a bit longer, that’s how enjoyable it is.
