Horror Short Review: The Demon Car Of Proctor Valley Road (2025)
A horror short from first time director William Bay, The Demon Car of Proctor Valley stars Josh Stone, Carol Benitez, and Michael Joseph Pierce. The former two actors play Brett and Erica, a young couple going on their first date. Brett arrives at Erica’s house to pick her up, meeting her father, who insists that the youngsters don’t take an old dirt road shortcut called Proctor Valley because of a legend about monsters that are said to haunt it.

One in particular is a demon car being driven by something devilish. Of course this is just Erica’s dad messing with Brett, right?
Following a nice night, the couple start to head back, but realising the time, Erica talks Brett into taking Proctor Valley so they can get her back before her dad starts to worry. All it takes is a kiss.

A solid story with decent acting and good visuals, The Demon Car of Proctor Valley is an entertaining watch, even if there’s nothing particularly remarkable about. A twist ending, adding some black comedy to things, is welcome, even if it is a bit predictable.
