Weekly Release Roundup: Monday 23rd June 2025 – Friday 27th June 2025

From eclectic progressive rock, anthemic alternative metal, intense metalcore, synth-fused hard rock, and more, it’s a big week for releases and we’ve got a list for you to check out. All these releases are out now!

Deadlands – Seven (Spinefarm)

A diverse record, especially vocally, Seven is the product of a band locked in, writing from the heart and soul, and understanding what a modern metal crowd wants. Which is anthems, heavy anthems, and Seven is filled with them.

Royale Lynn – Black Magic (Epitaph Records)

It’s an album with bite, an album with heart and soul, an album liable to fill a dance floor, and an album to reflect on. Trust me, even if you’re the type that sneers at the pop sensibilities of this record, you will find this one hell of an infectious listen.

Breaths – Death Can Wait (Self Released / Elastic Stage)

As eclectic and electric as ever, Breaths’ bold fusion of genres has always been impressive, but as Jason Roberts grows as a person, so does the project, and what we get is even more creative and adventurous soundscapes.

Jawfane – Me and All My Demons (Exitus Stratagem Records)

It is that raw and cathartic expression that really does make this EP stand out as Jawfane pour so much passion into delivering a heavy sound that combines the best of hardcore’s stomp and metalcore’s anthemic ways. Yet, if that wasn’t enough to make this a notable EP, Jawfane add in some cinematic vibes. The end result is an EP genuinely worth shouting about.

Spider Kitten – The Truth Is Caustic To Love (APF Records)

There is no talking about the album without calling it exactly what it is from the start. It’s weird. It’s a weird f**king album and you’ll either love that or you’ll hate it. It’s really hard to be indifferent about the record, there’s too much going on, and all of that demands a strong response, one way or another.

Pathos & Logos – Gospel (Self Released)

It’s a game changer, as simple as that, and the kind of evolution that is guaranteed to turn even more heads in their direction. However, it’s far from the only notably progressed aspect of the band and there’s a strong argument that the duo have found their sound now.

Grace Hayhurst – The World Is Dying (Self Released)

A very talented individual with a liberal idea of what progressive rock and metal music should be, Grace Hayhurst challenges with this debut record. A positive challenge, but one that needs time and patience to fully appreciate.

TSS – END OF TIME (Fearless Records)

One of the most exciting bands in the world, when TSS release music, all fans of modern and alternative metal pay attention because if there’s one thing we can all be assured, it’s that a new TSS record will have anthems.

Guess what?

Yes, it’s an anthemic record with a ton of instant hits that refuse to conform to any genre norm. END OF TIME is an extremely varied record.

Lorquin’s Admiral – Lorquin’s Admiral (Argonauta Records)

What a uniquely interesting record this is. A record that has the hazy familairity of desert rock, but enigmatically leans into other genres like blues, psychedelic, and alternative rock, effortlessly. It can be a bit of sensory overload, but remains addictively lovable throughout, especially as its major appeal comes from the unique combination of sounds and styles.

Skies Turn Black – Broken Hearts & Bad Habits (Sliptrick Records)

The band have reinvented themselves and it is extremely clear that they are awash with creativity, ideas and talent. With such a varied mix of music on Broken Hearts & Bad Habits, it is well worth investing some time into the album because you will find some songs on here you love, maybe all of them, but definitely some of them.
