Bloodstock 2025 Band Feature: Rites to Ruin
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! It’s Bloodstock time and 2025 is looking to be one of the best events the festival has ever put on, if we’re judging it by bands… which we are, of course.
Taking place at Catton Park, Derbyshire from August 7th to August 10th, Bloodstock Festival 2025 has not only sold out all its weekend tickets, but it also sold out day tickets for the Saturday and the Sunday and it seems likely that Friday will follow suit before the festival actually starts. Boasting a lineup that includes the likes of Emperor, Lacuna Coil, Ministry, Mastodon, Fear Factory, Static-X, Nailbomb, Kataklysm, Obituary, and headliners, Trivium, Machine Head, Gojira, and so much more spread across four stages, it’s going to be one hell of a weekend.

Rites to Ruin
The EMP stage is looking so strong across the entire weekend with tons of talented bands looking to cause a bit of chaos on Bloodstock’s smallest stage. One such band is Rites to Ruin, who appear on the Saturday of the festival and come armed with a ton of heavy metal bangers, taken from their debut album ‘Daughter of Hatred’, out June 30th, 2025.
We loved the album, and described it as being:
Filled with heavy metal flair, and not just because of vocalist Krissie’s signature soaring vocals, Rites to Ruin bring NWOBHM kicking and screaming into the modern era. Stylishly combining retro head banging vibes with progressive creative thinking across ten mighty bangers. Putting it simply, it’s an album with depth, but it’s also an album that encourages head banging.
Go back to 2021, and you’ll also find us raving about their debut EP, ‘Fire’, summing it up as:
Four tracks and 20 minutes that passes in seconds as you can so easily get lost in each and every song. From the riffs, to the excellent drums, the strong bass line, insanely good vocals and of course the solo mastery, it’s a combination of power and passion which may well hark back to traditional metal but has more than enough of a modern edge to make it not just a nostalgia trip and very relevant in today’s music scene.
We love Bloodstock as music fans, so to play is a massive honour and we are thrilled to be included this year. The Support Bloodstock gives to grass roots bands is phenomenal, it means the world to have the opportunity to play the festival. With our set, people can expect soaring vocals, heavy riffs and a bloody good time!
