Romulus is set between the events of Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986). It follows downtrodden young space colonists who encounter hostile creatures while scavenging a derelict space station.
Brynn finds solace within the walls of the home where she grew up until she’s awakened one night by strange noises from unearthly intruders.
A Quiet Place II is a huge leap away from A Quiet Place. It turns a genius concept with subtlety into a generic sequel that goes against the philosophy of the first.
From writer/director Chris Wax comes Case 347. A found-footage horror that knocks it out of the park by being very watchable, surprising, clever and even a bit chilling at times.
Leviathan is a science fiction horror film directed by George P. Cosmatos, it released in 1989. It follows a crew of underwater geologists who encounter a highly infectious, DNA altering disease. This particular affliction causes those affected to be transformed and consumed by a hideous mutant creature.
A middling sci-fi/horror, Thirst is a clichéd monster movie with some of the most generic characters seen in some time. It’s by no means a recommend watch but it plays everything so safely, if it was on TV and you had 90 minutes to spare, you could do much worse.
Directed by Charles Band, Petrified might be one of the worst horrors to come from the director and Full Moon Productions to date. Which is saying a lot considering the rubbish they’ve put out.
